Message Recap
During 40 days in the wilderness, Jesus was tempted by the devil. He fought back with the power of God’s Word, going on to become our perfect sacrifice. Fully God and fully human, Jesus understands how hard it is to resist temptation, and He can help us in our struggles.
We all experience the challenging, relentless nature of temptation. Pastor Dave taught that temptation comes from the human condition, Satan, and sometimes indirectly from God. It often arrives after a spiritual high, when our guard is down, and when we’re alone or in the wrong place.

Live it Out
Write your own letter to the devil to express resistance. You can also write one to Jesus expressing your commitment to follow His example and asking for His help.
Pastor Dave shared that the main action step from the Read All About It series is to spend more time in the Bible. Willow’s Adult Engagement Team created two resources to support you in this goal.
Subscribe to our Daily Devotionals to read reflections and next step ideas from the book of Luke written by staff and volunteers across Willow.
You can also download our reflection journal, designed to support you in developing or continuing a regular rhythm of reading, listening, and responding to God’s Word. Using the Gospel of Luke as the primary resource, each chapter includes reflection questions; a dedicated space to capture notes, drawings, thoughts, and prayers; and ways to live out your learning.
Is there another way God is calling you to live out the message this week?
