Group Reconnect
- If you were planning to host a special meal with friends, what’s one thing you would be sure to include? (It doesn’t have to be food!)
- Did you practice any traditions or rituals at home, at school, or with friends while growing up?

Message Recap
*In addition to Dave Dummitt’s video teaching on the Communion Cup, each campus pastor shared a unique message. This recap is a general summary based on the theme of Communion. Feel free to tailor your group’s recap and discussion to your specific campus.
When we return to the rhythm of Communion, we remember the new life offered to us through Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection. We also participate together as a community of believers, each one created by the God who never leaves us alone. We come in a posture of trust, remembering that Jesus is our daily bread and that, through His sacrifice, we are forgiven, cleansed, and set free.
Discussion Questions
- What (if anything) did you learn as a child about the practice of Communion?
- Do you remember your first experience receiving Communion? What stands out?
- Read Matthew 26:26–29 and Luke 22:19–20. Share something you learned (in the message or the Bible) about the practice of Communion that was new or stood out.
- What do you find significant about receiving Communion in fellowship with other believers?
- Read John 14:2–3 and Revelation 21:3–4. What do these promises mean to you?
- What could it look like to engage with Jesus as your daily bread?
Live it Out
- Spend time meditating on the questions presented in the message:
- Where in your life are you hoping to be more fulfilled?
- What is it that you have forgotten about God that you need to remember?
- How can you spend more time engaging with Jesus and His Living Word throughout your week? Consider scheduling personal time with Him on your calendar or joining a weekly Bible study or small group.
- Is there another way God is calling you to live out the message this week?
