When you see God’s heart for all people, it changes the ways you see those around you. Matthew 25:14–30 tells the story of three men who were given gold: two invested it and made more while one buried it in the ground. Which was better? God wants you to use what He has given you to change the world!
Discussion Questions
Have you ever experienced a moment where you felt particularly aligned with God’s purpose through your gifts? What was that like?
What do you believe are the unique gifts or talents you have been given? What gifts do you see in each other? Take time to encourage and share what you see in the others in your group.
In what ways can we faithfully use our gifts to serve our households, church, and communities?
When you think of your unique gifts as the talents God has given you, what would burying those treasures to keep them from risk look like? What fears might prevent us from using our gifts fully? How can we overcome those fears in a faith context?
And conversely, what would multiplying them look like? Share scenarios about your specific gifts.
